The Vibes Instant Kava Starter Kit is the easiest way to start drinking kava. You get a 100g pouch of Vibes Instant, a coconut shell, a frother and a wooden spoon. Everything you need, and nothing you don't.
A cup takes under a minute. There's no strainer bag in here, because instant kava doesn't need one. Pick from four varieties, each one a blend of noble cultivars we've put together to feel a certain way.
Ingredients: 100% noble instant kava. That's the whole list.

How to make it
- Half fill the shell with cold water.
- Add one level 5g spoon of kava.
- Run the frother through it for fifteen to twenty seconds.
- Drink up. If it's been sitting, swirl it first.
Rinse the shell afterwards and let it air dry. Don't put it in the dishwasher and don't leave it soaking.
Why a shell and not a mug
You can absolutely use a mug. Most people who stick with kava end up using a shell anyway.
It's the traditional vessel, it holds about the right amount for one serve, and the wide shallow shape makes it easy to swirl and finish. It also looks lovely, which counts for something when you're pouring one for a friend who's never tried kava before.
Common questions
Do I need anything else? Just water. That's it.
Can I use the frother for traditional grind? No. Grind has to be kneaded in a strainer bag. A frother won't get anything out of it and you'll end up drinking fibre.
How long does the kava last? About twenty cups, so roughly a month if you're having two or three a week.
Can I just reorder the kava? Yes, we sell the 100g pouch on its own.
Is this a good gift for someone who's never had kava? It's the main reason people buy it. Everything arrives together and the instructions are on the pouch.
Which variety should I pick? Buzzy or Happy to start. Rocket is the liveliest and Chill is the heaviest, so both are easier to appreciate once you've got a feel for the middle.
