Vibes Traditional Grind - Variety 4-Pack

Regular price $350.00 NZD

The Vibes Traditional Grind Variety Pack has one 250g bag of each: Rocket, Buzzy, Happy and Chill. That's a full kilogram of noble kava root, ground for traditional preparation.

Save money and try each variety!

At about 60g per litre, a kilogram makes around 16 litres. This one's for people who already drink kava and already own a strainer bag. If you're just starting out, have a look at the Traditional Kava Starter Pack instead, which comes with the gear.

Ingredients: 100% noble kava root. That's the whole list.

The Four Varieties

  • Rocket (100% Head) Pure heady energy for focus, creativity, and lively social sparks.
  • Buzzy (75% Head / 25% Body) Light, energising, and grounded with just enough body calm. Takes the edge off the day.
  • Happy (25% Head / 75% Body) Mood-brightening balance with a gentle head lift and warm, body-soothing vibes.
  • Chill (100% Body) Deep calm with fully body-focused relaxation and no heavy crash. Great for sleeping.

How to make it

  1. Weigh out your grind. About 60g per litre of water.
  2. Put it in the strainer bag, twist the top closed, and sit the bag in a large bowl with the water.
  3. Knead and squeeze under the water for five to ten minutes. The water goes muddy brown.
  4. Wring the bag out hard at the end.
  5. Tip out the spent root, then pour into shells and serve.

Each 250g bag makes about 4 litres, so the full pack runs to around 16.

Why a whole kilogram

Two reasons.

The first is cost. Buying four bags at once is the cheapest way to keep kava on the shelf, and a kilogram lasts long enough that you stop thinking about reordering.

The second is that kava is a social drink, and a bowl goes further than a cup. If you host, a kilogram is roughly the difference between rationing the good one and letting everyone pick.

What's not in the box

  • A strainer bag. You'll definitely need one, as grind won't dissolve.
  • A large bowl for mixing. Any big kitchen bowl does the job.
  • Something to drink from. A coconut shell is traditional.

The Traditional Kava Starter Pack has the bag, a shell and a spoon, along with 250g of grind.

Common questions

Does this come with a strainer bag or bowl? No, it's kava only. The Traditional Kava Starter Pack is the one with the gear.

How much does a kilogram make? Around 16 litres at 60g per litre, so about 4 litres from each bag. Make it stronger and you'll get less.

Is there an instant version of this pack? Yes, the Instant Kava Variety Pack has all four in instant form.

Can I swap one variety for a second bag of another? The pack comes as one of each. For a custom mix, order 250g bags individually.

Is this the same kava as the single bags? Exactly the same, just bundled.

How should I store four open bags? Reseal each one and keep them somewhere cool and dry, out of the sun.
